About Me

My name is Anika Mosby. I teach art at Partee Elementary in Snellville, GA. I received my B.A. in Art Education/Studio Art in Fall of 2019. I love to create exciting lessons for my students that challenge their creativity and critical thinking skills. In my free time I enjoy creating art, traveling, and adventuring with friends and family. :)

Every student is an individual with specific interests, needs, and aspirations. My goal as an art educator is to offer an engaging environment, exciting lessons, and thought-provoking guidance so that scholars may explore these ideas of self individually, as well as collaboratively through the creation and analysis of visual art. I believe that art for students is a necessity, not a luxury. Engaging in artistic processes employs empathy, higher order thinking, and cross curricular connections. Furthermore, creating art for the sake of simply creating art is also beneficial to students by applying the use of creativity, imagination, and problem-solving skills. My role as an art teacher is not only to teach art content -- it is to recognize and teach the whole student, meet students where they are with warmth and love, and to be a role model and mentor for each and every student. With these ideas and goals behind each lesson, I am able to provide an excellent art education and experience to scholars.
